Customer Privacy and How It Affects You

Overview

Your personal privacy is important. At The Exchange Bank and Trust Company, we recognize that whether you are an existing customer or are considering a relationship with us, you have an interest in how we collect, retain, and use information about you and your business relationship with us.

The Exchange Bank and Trust Company Employees

At The Exchange Bank and Trust Company, any employee access to customer information is authorized for business purposes only and is based on the sensitivity of the information and our employees’ or agents’ need to know. We remind employees regularly of their obligations under the Confidentiality section of the employee manual, which states our requirements for using customer information. Disregard of these requirements will result in disciplinary action, including termination in appropriate cases. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect this information.

At The Exchange Bank and Trust Company we collect, retain and use information about you for the purpose of serving your financial needs and administering our account relationships. To the extent permitted by law, this information is shared by Exchange Bank in order that we can provide products and services appropriate to your needs and circumstances.

With Third Parties

The Exchange Bank and Trust Company is highly selective in choosing vendors and service companies that assists us in providing quality products and services to our customers. We may share certain customer information with these third parties to facilitate the offering, administration, collection, and delivery of these products and services under controlled circumstances designed to protect our customers’ privacy. We require third parties to comply with strict standards regarding security and confidentiality of such information. They are not permitted to release, use for their own purposes, or sell any customer information we share with them to any other party.

The Exchange Bank and Trust Company does not sell customer information to outside parties.

We exchange certain information about our customers with selected credit reporting agencies in accordance with standard banking industry practice.

You should also be aware that there may be occasions where we are legally required to disclose information about you, such as in response to a subpoena, to prevent fraud, or to comply with a legally permitted inquiry by a governmental agency or federal regulator.

We have established and continually maintain security standards and procedures to help us protect you from unauthorized access to confidential information about you, including through the Internet.

Accuracy and Right to Correct

Your Account Information

We continually strive to maintain complete and accurate information about you and your accounts. Should you ever believe that our records contain inaccurate or incomplete information about you, please notify us immediately. We will investigate your concerns and correct any inaccuracies.

Information Reported to Consumer Reporting Agencies

Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act you have the right to notify us if you believe we have reported inaccurate information about your account to any Consumer Reporting Agency. Such notices should be sent in writing and include your complete name, current address, social security number, telephone number, account number, type of account, specific item of dispute and the reason why you believe the information reported is in error. Send your notice to: The Exchange Bank and Trust Company, P.O. Box 797, Perry, OK 73077. We will investigate your concerns, and correct any inaccuracies, and confirm our actions to you.
